OUR TEAM
Meet the team turning ideas into impact.
Ross started the company out of a passion for working with innovators, or anyone bold enough to break away from the mould. After a stint as an aerospace engineer, he traded spreadsheets and simulations for sandy beaches and startups, spending time in Southeast Asia while teaching himself software development and other entrepreneurial skills. That journey later would lay the foundation for the company.
Now back in South Africa, Ross splits his time between building great products and chasing down any sport with a ball, whether it’s hockey, golf, paddle, or whatever’s next. He’s always up for a challenge and always planning his next adventure.<br>
Fun fact: Ross has recently developed a nerdy obsession with chess and has watched more YouTube videos than he cares to admit.
Daniel is a full-stack developer who thrives on solving complex problems and building clean, functional tech. Whether he’s fixing bugs or designing new features, he enjoys untangling tricky challenges and making everything run smoothly.
He studied Mathematical Sciences at Stellenbosch, majoring in Computer Science and Operations Research, sharpening his logic and love for problem-solving. After a well-earned break working the ski slopes in Aspen and travelling Europe, he joined the tech world full-time, starting with freelance work for his brother, and never looked back. Outside work, Daniel’s all about active, social fun, catching up with friends, playing padel, or working on his golf swing. He’s just as happy, though, recharging on the couch with something sweet he’s baked himself.
Fun fact: Daniel is completely deaf in his left ear and colourblind; none of which has stopped him from building beautiful, high-functioning apps.
Hi, I’m Ross, I finished my bachelors in Computer Science specializing in application and software development. What I love most is solving problems, exploring new ideas, and helping others build meaningful things. Whether I’m designing a mobile app, experimenting with new tools, or just tinkering on a side project, I’m happiest when I’m creating.
Outside of work, I’m probably gaming with friends, playing golf, learning something new, or planning my next project (or five). I like to think of myself as someone who’s always curious, always looking to improve, and always up for building something that makes a difference.
Fun Fact: Before I got into tech, I was a semi-professional swimmer and had the privilege of representing South Africa on multiple occasions at some of the highest stages in sport. That experience taught me a lot about discipline, focus, and resilience, all of which I now bring into my work as a developer.
Salah discovered his passion for building things when his graduation project earned top honours, sparking a career-long obsession with turning complex ideas into reality. A certified personal trainer and nutritionist turned developer, he eventually swapped diet plans for deployment scripts, finding that he preferred the “mind games” of complex logic over the gym floor.
He thrives on the discipline of the craft, bringing a steady focus to every problem and a genuine love for the strategy involved in a project’s lifecycle. Whether he’s optimising a codebase or outmanoeuvring an opponent, Salah is driven by the challenge of finding the most elegant solution.
Outside of work, Salah is usually at the gym or locked into a high-stakes game of Wild Rift. He treats every project like a boss fight—requiring the perfect balance of discipline, quick reflexes, and mental chess.
Fun fact: Salah can tell you exactly how to hit your macros, but he’d much rather talk to you about his favourite Wild Riftchampion or the latest mental puzzle he’s trying to crack.
In the works…Thato recently graduated with distinction and is now diving into his first job in tech. Growing up he was all about soccer, video games, and making beats on FL Studio. During varsity he worked part-time at a toy store, which taught him a lot about dealing with people and staying patient under pressure.
Now he’s working on finding his feet in the IT world while building himself up outside of work too. He hits the gym, trades stocks on the side, and is focused on getting his money and mindset right.
The goal is pretty simple: keep improving, stay disciplined, and build a life where he gets to do things on his own terms.
Sinesethu (Sine) didn’t take a straight line into tech. She started out studying Construction Management at Wits before realising she was more drawn to problem-solving, systems, and how things work behind the scenes. That shift led her into tech, where she trained in software development at WeThinkCode_.
She’s since worked across quality assurance and product-focused roles, mainly in fast-paced startup environments. Sine enjoys collaborating with teams, spotting gaps early, and helping shape products that actually work.
Fun fact: Long before tech, Sine used to record music and is still a big music lover, always discovering new artists and new sounds.
Jessica’s path into UX engineering wasn’t exactly a straight line. With a background in Visual Communication Design, she began freelancing while still studying, working across digital design, marketing, and website projects for a range of brands. What started as “just getting stuck in” quickly grew into a love for building things that actually work, not just look good.
Joining One Eleven as a Designer and UX Engineer opened up a whole new world. Although she didn’t originally set out to work in UX, the role has pushed her to grow quickly, learn constantly, and design digital products from the ground up. From meditation apps and insurance panic tools to multi-sided platforms like MotionAds, Jessica enjoys solving complex problems and turning them into clear, user-friendly experiences within a collaborative team.
Fun fact: When she’s not working, Jessica is usually planning her next hike or trip, experimenting with nail art or embroidery on clothes and shoes, playing padel, or cooking vegetarian meals.
With a Computer Science background from Stellenbosch and a career forged in the high-pressure world of South African fintech, Michael bridges the gap between complex engineering and practical business growth. Having led projects for both agile startups and major corporates, he left the corporate world to join One Eleven, driven by a passion for building high-impact products that deliver tangible results.
As COO and CTO, Michael champions our core pillars: Simplicity, Relationships, and Impact through execution. He is dedicated to helping startups and SMEs scale by stripping away technical noise and focusing on what moves the needle.
Outside the Office: A serial hobbyist, Michael is usually deep in a cycle of mastering and discarding new interests. While his obsessions rotate frequently, he is currently spending his energy on the road as a dedicated (if “boring”) runner.
