Wind chimes are made of soft Ankudu or Reppali Koyya wood as it is known locally. This wood is soft and is preferred for its use in making wooden toys, stationery, and other ornamental wooden crafts. The toys and crafts are lacquered in safe vegetable and natural colors making them child friendly. The wind chimes have a smooth finish with rounded edges and are colored with safe vegetable colors and lacquer. The chimes are made by carving each piece in a precision method of turning the wood on a lathe to
