HOT ! Vintage Stanley Hagler N.Y.C Cuff

Beautifully handcrafted cuff with a rich bead motif. Ivory seed beads are hand wired onto a hinged cuff. The ornament has 5 prong set deep red glass cabochons, set around a central glass flower with a single ruby Swarovski crystal rhinestone in the center. Russian gold plated filigree mounts have a warm look with a lovely patina are topped with red and ivory seed bead accents and red Swarovski crystal rhinestones, depicting flowers and leaves. It is signed on an oval plaque on the back of the filigree mount. A fantastic and dramatic collectors piece with layers of beadwork...

This is a design by Mark Mercy who was a designer with the Stanley Hagler Co. Stanley Hagler started in the 1950\'s, his first piece, a pink flower covered bangle, settled on the wrist of the Duchess of Windsor, and his jewellery was followed by Vogue and featured in New York fashion shows throughout the 50\'s and 60\'s. He was a one man operation until 1979 when Mark Mercy joined the company as an apprentice. They worked together until Mr Hagler died in 1996 and Mark Mercy continues to design under this brand today. With intricate and lavish designs, Stanley Hagler costume jewellery is highly sought after.
