HOT ! Persol Ratti 801/52 Persolmatic

Manufactured in Turin Italy, we have this new old stock Persol Ratti 801/52. The frame is new old stock and comes with the original case which is double branded as Persol and Al-Bashawri Optical House, which was founded in 1960 in Saudi Arabia. The frame is brown mottle with the Persol arrow detail to the temporal edges. The badge on the bridge features a stork which is the symbol of the Persol founder Giuseppe Ratti. The lenses are made of glass and feature the Persol engravings at the temporal edge on both lenses. The glass lenses are transitions, featuring Persolmatic technology. Changing colour in the UV light the lenses transition from a green-yellow colour with 30% absorption to a dark brown-grey with 70% absorption. The frames are new old stock, but a few minor scuffs to the case are visible. A collectors frame not to be missed.
