Partly submerged, partly suspended over the water, the pontile (jetty) links the world of the lagoon to that of the mainland. The apparent fragility of the emerging structure and the reflections of light that surround it give it a character of suspension and poetic ineffability.

The Pontile line, in its bookcase, bench and table versions for indoor or outdoor use, is based on an architectural system archetype: the trilithon. Consisting of two vertical elements and one horizontal element, the trilithic structure has a modular character that makes it replicable an infinite number of times with a constant balance between the parts. In the line, the components are vertical uprights, posts, and support boards, the former rounded at the top and the latter at the edge.
