Detailed information on Rudimentary Collar

Sterling Silver wire pieces, drawing inspiration from a group of modernist silversmiths: Vivianna Torun, Art Smith, Catherine Noll, and Alexander Calder — gleaning not only from their forms, but from the humanity embedded in their work.

Hammered sterling silver collar.

Handmade in Germantown, NY or Block Island, RI without the use of heat or chemicals

Mary MacGill, the brand, is the organic evolution of her creative journey, which began at the age of 13, when tea with her mentor Kazuko Oshima instilled her desire to become a jewelry designer. After starting her career with a fine-jewelry company in New York City, Mary returned to her family home on Block Island, Rhode Island, and began hand hammering gold and weaving wire with semi-precious stones. Inspired by the ocean, grasses, and evolving coastline, she created her first collection and sold the designs at the local farmer’s market. The response she received prompted her to establish Mary MacGill Jewelry.
