The Namco P646-95 removes up to 95 pints of moisture per day at 728 watts, covering up to 1,300 square feet with an automatic pump-out and digital humidity controls. At 81 lbs and 20\" × 15\" × 25\", it is the most compact and lightest unit in the P646 series—appropriate for smaller crawl spaces, tight basement corners, and single-zone humidity control in residential and light commercial applications.
The P646-95 is the entry point in the P646 compact series. For crawl spaces under 1,300 sq ft with chronic humidity problems in moderate-humidity climates (Pacific Northwest, Midwest, parts of the Northeast), the P646-95 provides sufficient capacity to maintain target RH levels continuously. In high-humidity climates (Gulf Coast, Southeast Atlantic) or crawl spaces with active water seepage, the P646-95 may be insufficient to reach target humidity—the P646-150 or P646-190 would be more appropriate. The P646-95\'s 728W draw makes it the lowest-cost unit to operate continuously, which matters when a machine runs 24/7 for months at a time during post-flood structural drying or chronic high-humidity seasons.
Most residential crawl spaces have 18–36 inch clearance heights and access openings of 18 × 24 inches or larger per code. The P646-95 at 20\" × 15\" × 25\" passes through standard access openings and operates in spaces with less than 30 inches of clearance. Installation requires positioning the unit on a flat, stable surface within the crawl space, routing the drain hose to a suitable drainage point (sump pit, floor drain, or gravity-fed exterior exit), and connecting to a 15A outlet. Most installers also encapsulate the crawl space vapor barrier before installing a dehumidifier, as this significantly reduces moisture load on the machine and reduces operating hours required to maintain target RH.
