HOT ! Afterglow, Red Dichroic Glass Necklace, Gold

The item listed is a fused glass necklace that was handcrafted in my studio in Washington, NJ.This necklace was created by using a combination of dichroic and plain glass. The glass was cut and then layered and pieced together before being heated in a kiln to fully fuse the glass. It was then shaped on a grinder and put in the kiln again to be fire polished in order to give it a final shine. After that, a channel was grooved into the side so that it could be wire-wrapped.Some of the glass in this item has a dichroic coating. This coating causes the glass to transmit one color and reflect another color. The colors may shift depending on how the glass is held in the light. This is what gives it an almost magical appearance. Because of this color shift, dichroic glass is very difficult to photograph to accurately show the true color and beauty. Color intensity may vary.This necklace is approximately 3/4 inch X 1 1/4 inches and includes a 18 inch gold plated snake chain. It will ship in a lovely gift box with an organza ribbon.
