This Mid-Century Modern ebonized oak extension dining table was designed by the Hungarian born architect and interior designer Paul Laszlo, manufactured by Brown Saltman circa 1950. This architectural dining table features a ebonized finished to expose the oak grain. The 2.75\" thick top rests on on two curved pedestal supports resembling columns. The table comes with two 10\" leaves that extend the table from 53\" to 73\". It\'s an impressive and timeless mid-century dining table that is compatible with many design styles from contemporary to Art Deco.
Paul Laszlo\'s name through his designs became synonymous with luxury and modernity. He designed for celebrities such as Cary Grant and Elizabeth Taylor. In 1952, Time magazine described him as \"the millionaire\'s architect.\"
This table is refinished.
