Perfect for graduations, new seasons of leadership, ministry callings, encouragement in hard times, or as a gift for anyone walking through a battle — this pendant is a powerful emblem of strength, bravery, and unwavering trust in God.
Inspired by the ancient hoplon, the shield carried by Greek warriors to protect themselves and those beside them, this Hoplon Shield Pendant is a symbol of courage, faith, and spiritual readiness. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong,” it’s a daily reminder to stay vigilant, rooted, and fearless in a world that tests our faith.
Wear this pendant as your personal emblem of strength — a statement that you’re standing firm, guarding your heart, and holding fast to the truth.
Hoplon (Message Card)
The Greek soldiers were given the name Hoplite due to their radical connection to their shield, the Hoplon. This shield was a heavy wooden and bronze circle that covered the soldier from neck to knee. These world-conquering soldiers had a unique approach in battle called the Phalanz formation...but their shield defined them. Each man understood his shield was what stood between the enemy and themselves, their brothers-in-arms, their families and homes. Their shield stood as a symbol declaring the truth of their focus...Unwavering. Steadfast. Watchful. Standing firm.
\"Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.\" -1 Corinthians 16:13
\"No soldier gets entangles in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.\" -2 Timothy 2:4
