Islander is the watch brand of Long Island Watch, one of the most respected independent watch retailers in the enthusiast community. They design watches specifically for people who know what they want. They\'re well-spec\'d, honestly priced, and built without compromise. We carry Islander because they represent exactly the kind of value that watch enthusiasts actually get excited about.
The Rocky Point is Islander\'s answer to the ana-digi sport watch, and it\'s a serious one. The dual display setup puts analog hands and a digital window on the same dial, letting you run two time zones simultaneously without a GMT complication. The analog side tracks your local time. The digital window handles everything else: second time zone, stopwatch to 1/100 second, alarm, hourly chime, day, date, and month. Auto-calendar runs through 2099, so you\'ll never have to adjust for short months again.
The ISL-331 is the blacked-out PVD version with a brushed black PVD case, black leather strap, and PVD hardware throughout. It\'s a clean, aggressive look that wears differently than the steel variants. The 43mm case keeps things proportional at 11.2mm thick, and the flat sapphire crystal with inner AR coating keeps the display readable in any light. SuperLuminova on the hands and markers handles low-light legibility on the analog side. The pushbutton crown adjusts the hands without a traditional pull-and-set. Hold it down and the hands move, which is a cleaner experience than it sounds once you\'ve used it a few times. Four buttons handle the rest of the digital functions. At 100 meters water resistance with a screw-down caseback, this is a watch you don\'t have to baby.

The Rocky Point fills a gap in the Islander lineup that needed filling. Up until now the ana-digi segment was largely owned by Casio and a handful of Japanese quartz brands, and for good reason, the format is genuinely useful. Two time zones without a mechanical GMT complication, a stopwatch that goes to 1/100 second, an alarm, and a calendar that runs itself for the next 75 years. Islander takes that formula and builds it into a proper tool watch: sapphire crystal, screw-down caseback, 100m water resistance, and a 43mm PVD case that looks like it means business.
The ISL-331 specifically is the version for people who want the whole package blacked out. The PVD case, black leather strap, black hardware is a cohesive, intentional look that holds up better than a lot of all-black watches because the brushed PVD finish adds texture rather than just absorbing light. The pushbutton hand adjustment is an unconventional choice that actually works well in practice, and the Ronda movement inside is a reliable Swiss quartz platform. At $329 you\'re getting a feature set that would cost significantly more from brands that spend more on marketing than engineering. The Rocky Point is the rare analog-digital watch that doesn\'t feel like a compromise, it feels like a deliberate choice.
