Detailed information on Tissot Seastar Cal.782-1 - 1970s

Tissot Seastar, an iconic watch that takes us directly back to the world of diving in the 70s.

The Seastar collection appeared for the first time in the Tissot catalog of 1954 (No. 17). This creation was waterproof thanks to a double bottom, with additional protection against humidity and dust. It was only in the 1970s, with Tissot\'s T12 (twelve atmospheres), that a more sporty approach appeared. It was only at the beginning of the 21st century that the Seastar range underwent a rather turbulent transformation towards tool watches. This Tissot Seastar is equipped with caliber 782-1, a hand-wound movement. With a diameter of 31 mm, it offers an elegant presence on the wrist.

An interesting anecdote about its cousin the Tissot Seastar PR516: It appeared in a James Bond film even before Rolex and Omega entered the franchise. Roger Moore actually wore a Tissot PR516 Date in the film “Live and Let Die”. Many specialists have missed this iconic watch but this adds to its charm and exclusivity.

This watch comes without box/papers.
